특징 : 대륜의 후육질 꽃잎은 평견으로 긴장미가 좋고, 진한 주금색은 포의를 벗으면서 점점 발색된다. 광엽의 중수엽은 번식과 성장, 꽃붙음이 좋다.


명명유래 : 당상관(堂上官)의 관복을 비단옷(緋緞)과 옥관자(玉貫子)로 표상(表象)한 것처럼 그 품격과 기품이 유형에 민감하지 않고 전통미로써 널리 보급되길 원하는 마음에 비옥(緋玉)이라 명명함.
